This Privacy Policy explains how WISEPUP.AI (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, trading as wisepup, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our websites, apps and services. We are committed to handling your data lawfully and transparently.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. Information we collect

• Account information — such as name, email address and, where relevant, the learner’s age band, provided when you sign up.
• Learning & usage data — lessons attempted, answers, progress and how you interact with the Services, used to personalise teaching.
• Voice & audio data — in products such as ucharo, the recordings you make so the AI tutor can assess pronunciation and respond.
• Device & technical data — such as device type, app version, approximate region and basic diagnostics.
• Payment data — handled by our payment provider (see below). We receive confirmation of a payment and limited details such as the last four digits of a card, never your full card number.
• Messages you send us — for example through our contact form or by email.

3. How we use your data

• to provide, personalise and improve the Services;
• to run the AI tutor and adapt lessons to the learner;
• to process payments and course purchases;
• to provide customer support and respond to your requests;
• to keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
• to meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We rely on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating the Services, as permitted by applicable data-protection law including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are collected and stored by Stripe under its own privacy policy and security standards; wisepup does not store your full payment-card details. We recommend you also review Stripe’s privacy policy.

5. AI processing of your content

To power the tutor, the text and voice you provide may be processed by us and by trusted AI model providers acting on our behalf. We share only what is needed to generate a response, and we require these providers to protect your data. Some providers may process data outside your country (see international transfers below).

6. Children’s privacy

Our products are used by children, always under a parent or guardian’s account and supervision. Where the law requires it, we obtain verifiable parental consent before processing a child’s personal data, and we do not use children’s data for targeted advertising. A parent or guardian may review, correct or delete their child’s data by contacting us.

7. When we share data

We share personal data only as needed, with:

• Service providers — payment processing (Stripe), hosting and infrastructure, AI model providers, and analytics — who act on our instructions;
• Authorities — where required by law, regulation or valid legal process;
• A successor — in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers operate outside India. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable law.

9. How long we keep data

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting or dispute-resolution obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your data, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@wisepup.app. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.

12. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to run the site and may use limited analytics to understand and improve how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date; material changes will be notified where required.
